White Oxen Manor is situated within a sheltered valley on the southern boundaries of Dartmoor National Park surrounded by fields and woodland. It is an ancient listed Devon Longhouse standing in its own grounds, with three delightful cottages converted from a 17th Century barn situated in the courtyard. The light and airy cottages retain many original features including owl slit windows and exposed beams and offer very comfortable and spacious accommodation personally maintained by the owners. They are ideally situated for visiting the moors, the lovely South Hams area, the ancient towns of Dartmouth and Totnes, nearby Dartington Hall and Devon's wonderful coastline and beaches. The nearby tiny village of Rattery has one of the earliest pubs in the country dating from 1028. Guests are welcome to enjoy the land around the cottages.

Owl Cottage is a must as a romantic hideaway, Corner Cottage is spacious and ideal for a family and The Roundhouse features an unusual, very roomy and attractive living room, excellent for extended families. All the cottages are fully centrally heated, so ideal for winter breaks.

Accommodation:

Entrance door from patio area into delightful well equipped kitchen under sloping beamed roof. Electric hob, built-in oven, microwave and fridge/freezer. Four steps up to superb very spacious living room with huge westerly window, sofa, chairs, digital TV with DVD player and many interesting features including owl slits and a balustrade that separates the dining area with table to seat 4. Stairs down to large bedroom with 5ft bed, fitted cupboards and lovely en-suite bathroom with luxury bath and shower, basin and WC. A washer/dryer is housed in a passageway under the stairs.

Outside:

Own private patio area situated in the stable yard with table and chairs  that looks across to the owners' stables and up to fields and trees beyond. Barbecue available.

Parking: Area adjacent to the cottages.
