Battens is a friendly cottage converted from a barn on a traditional Devon farm near the little town of Colyton. The cottage sleeps six people in three bedrooms, a downstairs twin with en suite WC and an upstairs double and twin, with a family bathroom. On the ground level is an open plan living space with seating area, dining area, kitchen and doors to a patio. Outside is also a big shared lawn with barbecue and a games barn. 2 Dogs accepted, fee charged for second. Four miles from Colyton, Battens is an excellent cottage for a relaxing Devon holiday. Beer is a small picturesque fishing village on the south Devon coast near Seaton. The shingle beach is very sheltered, backed by limestone cliffs and was once fertile smuggling territory, plus contraband was hidden in nearby caves, which are now a popular tourist attraction
