The Turnip Barn is a converted barn in the village of Witton Gilbert in County Durham. It provides you with three en-suite bedrooms including two king-size bedrooms and one twin room, there is also a cloakroom, all together the cottage can sleep six people. Inside it also includes a kitchen/diner and a sitting room with a woodburning stove. To the outside there is plenty of off road parking and an enclosed rear lawn garden with furniture. The Turnip Barn is a beautiful cottage, its traditional features give it a homely feel.

This village sits in between the North Pennines AONB and the city of Durham. Witton Gilbert provides a shop, two pubs and a takeaway. The disused railway now forms part of the National Cycle Trail Route 14. Durham is three miles away, dominated by its architecture, the city offers a wealth of amenities. Lovers of the outdoors can explore the North Pennines AONB which leads towards the Yorkshire Dales National Park.
