There is an additional cloakroom on the ground floor. The rest of the cottage contains a kitchen with dining area and a sitting room with woodburning stove. To the outside of the property there is off road parking for two cars and an enclosed lawned garden with patio and furniture. The rural hamlet of Stockton is situated close to Offa's Dyke on the Wales/Shropshire border approximately 1.5 miles from the village of Marton and six miles from Welshpool, and has a smattering of pretty cottages and farms. Situated in the Vale of Montgomery it is surrounded by unspoilt countryside.
A E Houseman once wrote that Shropshire was “the quietest place under the sun” and today the county remains something of a rural idyll, recognised as one of the least crowded and most peaceful regions in England.
