Rose Cottage is a secluded, detached hilltop cottage situated close to the hamlet of Welsh Newton in Herefordshire and the market town of Monmouth in South Wales and can sleep two people in one king-size double bedroom. There is an adjacent bathroom. The rest of the cottage contains an open plan living area with kitchen, dining and sitting area with a woodburner. To the outside of the property there is an external utility, off road parking for two cars and a garden with patio and furniture. Being close to the English/Welsh border, there are ample walks, castles and towns to explore making Rose Cottage ideal for a couple looking for a romantic break away. Note: There is a £20 pet supplement charge per pet. Important Note: Monday and Friday check-ins only.

An intriguing market town on the border between Wales and England and close to the exceptional Offa’s Dyke, this wonderful town combines old and new, from the old castle ruins to the vibrant weekly market. Located at the confluence of 3 rivers – the Wye, the Monnow and the Trothy, it is an excellent base to enjoy river boating, scenic walks and a little shopping too, or to sit and relax on the edge of the river and watch the rowers who regularly race and practise their skills.

Herefordshire offers visitors the chance to journey through lush green countryside, enjoying splendid black-and-white timbered villages, a magnificent cathedral city, a fairytale Georgian castle at Eastnor or books galore in famous Hay-on-Wye.
