The garden is situated right on the riverbank, and is a wonderful spot in which to relax with a drink after a day spent sightseeing. Gloucester Docks is a short distance from The Lock House, and offers some lively attractions including award winning museums, restaurants, bars, cafes and shops, and traditional shipbuilding. Gloucester is an historic waterfront city full of Roman foundations, Victorian Docklands and an impressive Norman Cathedral, the cloisters of which were used as a location in the Harry Potter films. The thriving city centre is home to a superb range of shops, markets, pubs, restaurants, and other attractions for visitors. The city is an enjoyable base from which to explore the Cotswolds and the Forest of Dean, which offer many country walks and picturesque villages. The Eegency town of Cheltenham is an easy drive away, and offersfascinating Georgian architecture and the world-renowned Gold Cup horse racing. There is so much for all the family to do in this lovely area, no matter what your interests.
Visitors to the Cotswolds have long treasured memories of charming towns and villages built from the famous honey-coloured stone, it now boasts a thriving community of contemporary artists working from studios and shops throughout the area.

Shops, bars and restaurants two mins walk. Note: Due to close proximity of deep open water at front and rear, children must be very closely supervised at all times and care should be taken with dogs. Note: This is an old property and so the stairs are quite steep, however there is a handrail down one side.
