This superb walking area is full of interesting natural features such as the River Wharfe and extensive Grass Woods which lay to the north of the village. Bolton Abbey with the Abbey ruins, the Priory and the famous "Strid Walk" is a short distance away, as is the elegant town of Ilkley, situated in the shadow of Ilkley Moor. The cathedral city of York is within easy driving distance and offers a wide range of attractions such as the Viking museum, the National Railway Museum and the chilling York Dungeon.
