Portessie, Moray, Aberdeenshire & The Coastal Trail

Braehead Croft

Portessie is a traditional fishing village that sits on the edge of the Moray Firth coast and if it's dramatic, unadulterated nature and landscape that you want Portessie is a great spot to rent a holiday home.

Braehead Croft is a dog friendly holiday cottage.

  • 6 guests
  • 3 bedrooms
  • 3 bathrooms
  • dog friendly

This property has been recently renovated and now has all mod cons. It's a detached stone croft building located in Portessie itself and has glorious views of the rugged landscapes from most of the windows of the house. The property is all on the ground floor and has 3 double bedrooms, 2 of which have en suite bathrooms with showers. There's another bathroom with a bath, a large open plan living/dining/sitting area and a country style kitchen with wooden units and all the appliances necessary to cook up some tasty meals preferably using some of the incredible local produce that this region is famous for. Note: This property does not accept worker bookings. Please note: This property only accepts a party of 6 (including any infants)

The attractive old villages of Gardenstown and Pennan are also nearby, as is Cullen, which has one Scotland's largest beaches. Within easy reach of this accommodation, Cullen is a popular destination with families because of its massive beach but also because there's plenty of nature spotting to enjoy. If there's a bird watcher in the family then they'll be pleased to know that the RSPB Reserve in Spey is also in the area. The Moray Firth is also a top place for spotting bottle-nosed dolphins and there are regular dolphin spotting boat excursions on offer throughout the day.

From the lush green farmlands of the Borders to the ruggedness of the Highlands, the Scots are proud of their land and identity. Scotland also has some of Britain's best beaches with glorious stretches of clean sand over which to roam.

Central heating with gas fire in sitting room. Electric oven, gas hob, microwave, fridge, freezer, washing machine, dishwasher, 2x Smart TV's DVD, stereo/CD player, WiFi. Fuel and power inc. in rent.
