Over three floors, this holiday home has three bedrooms, including a zip/link super-king-size with en-suite bathroom, a zip/link super-king-size, and a double, along with a bathroom, an open-plan living space with kitchen, dining area and sitting area, a utility, and a sitting room with an open fire. Appliances include a gas oven and hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, washing machine, tumble dryer, and dishwasher and for entertainment there is a Smart TV and WiFi. Outside, there is off-road parking for one car and a rear enclosed garden with decking, artificial grass, and furniture. Two well-behaved pets are welcome. Sorry, this is a smoke-free property. Fuel, power, a starter pack for woodburning stove, bed linen and towels are all included in the rent. You can find a shop, a pub, and a beach in 0.7 miles or less. Note: There are steps throughout the property and a slight spiral in the staircase, please take care. Mayflower is the perfect choice for a break to the Devon coast.

Salcombe is a popular destination for walkers and families looking for a holiday by the sea and was once a major port. There are two pretty beaches within a short distance, North Sands and South Sands and further on is the National Trust property Overbeck’s where you can wander through the subtropical gardens. Why not have a more adventurous day and try out the watersports available on the estuary including surfing, kayaking or a more leisurely boat trip? Whilst staying in Salcombe you must take advantage of the locally sourced seafood which is served in many of the restaurants, pubs, cafés and delicatessens. The southern tip of Devon provides some spectacular scenery and picturesque vistas with a number of sandy beaches, lovely villages with thatched cottages and some fantastic opportunities for walking, including the South West Coast path.

Devon, with its quiet country lanes, patchwork of lush green fields and sleepy villages is not to be missed. Stately home lovers will be spoiled and why not finish with a scrumptious Devonshire cream tea?
