Between Nayland and Hadleigh, close to Colchester, lies a little village called Polstead. The village is home to Polstead Community Shop, the ideal place to stock up on some supplies while dropping by for coffee and cake at the same time. It also has a couple of charming country pubs that promise to offer you some substantial meals and a fine pint. Towns nearby that are worth visiting include Nayland, known for its charming Tudor houses, and the lively market town of Hadleigh, both of which feature a wonderful selection of stores and utilities. Attractions like Hollow Trees Farm and Dedham Vale Vineyard are also nearby.
