WiFi, fuel, power, bed linen and towels are all included in the price. Highchair and travel cot available. Columbine Cottage is perfectly positioned to explore Cumbria and the national park. Between the whitewashed 17th century homes, visitors can explore the abundance of little passageways, thoroughfares, archways, and courtyards. In addition to the Beatrix Potter Gallery, which hosts an annual changing display of the renowned author's pictures and stories, the village is home to several charming inns, teashops, guest houses, and gift shops. You may visit the location where the Lakeland poet developed his love of the form and even see the desk into which he wrote his name as a young child by visiting the Old Grammar School, which is still standing today. William Wordsworth is another well-known Hawkshead admirer.
