"The Den," a large public area with lawns, play areas (including tennis courts, a bowling green), and a miniature lighthouse on the seaward side of the town is known. Fisherman's boats and beach huts can be found on the other side of Teignmouth, as well as views of Shaldon and the Dartmoor hills. Teignmouth also hosts annual folk and jazz festivals, as well as carnivals and water regattas in conjunction with Shaldon. Even if you stay in Teignmouth for a few days, there is a lot to see and do nearby, such as the stunning Dartmoor National Park, the city of Exeter, and the nearby harbour towns.
