Within 0.2 miles, you will find a shop and pub, and within 0.7 miles, a beach. Please note that this is a non-smoking dwelling and allows one well-behaved pet. Amble, a lively small seaport at the mouth of the River Coquet, is a great starting point for exploring Northumberland. Amble, once a boatbuilding centre, now has a marina, a harbour, sandy beaches, and coastal hikes to Hauxley Bird Sanctuary and Druridge Bay Country Park. Fish, prawns, crabs, and lobsters are landed by large fishing boats moored along the harbour wall. On the other side of the port, there is a fish facility that sells local fish to the public.
Northumberland is a heady combination of fishing villages, market towns, sandy beaches, magnificent castles and historic Hadrian’s Wall, tied together by beautiful countryside and abundant wildlife.
