It is an ideal starting point for visiting these popular and lovely destinations. Northleach was formerly a bustling market town known across Europe as a significant hub for the Cotswold wool trade! The affluent wool merchants paid for the fifteenth-century church of St Peter and St Paul, which was erected using stone taken from the town's quarry and what is now the Market Square. The village has recently been featured in a number of films, notably the 2015 film Casual Vacancy.
