The seaside resort Carbis Bay lies close to St Ives on the western coast of St Ives Bay. The beach is the main attraction, chosen to host the G7 conference of world leaders, this is a truly beautiful stretch of sand with a subtropical feel. The beach also offers the Ocean Sports Centre, where visitors can hire a kayak or boat. There is a small but lovely selection of quirky cafés, restaurants and individual shops to explore, while nearby St Ives offers a wealth of amenities.
