North Shields, in the county of Tyne and Wear, is a beautiful town located near the Tyne's mouth. It is situated between the Newcastle and Tynemouth. A statue of a solitary fisherman was erected in 2017 to honour the town's history as a bustling fishing port, which dates back to the 13th century and can be learned more about at the small Old Low Light museum. The town is in a great spot, near the sandy shores of Long Sand Beach, where sightseers can take in breath-taking vistas of the North Sea and the bustling city of Newcastle. Those who venture into the city of Newcastle will find a plethora of interesting and exciting bars and restaurants, as well as a wealth of shopping options and tourist attractions like the Discovery Museum, the Life Science Centre, Newcastle Castle, and the Great North Museum.
