Mackerel Cottage is a lovely dwelling for a family trip to the beautiful coast of Devon. Please note: there is a step between the kitchen and lounge and a small step out from the French doors in to the garden. There is also a step down to the start of the alley way.

Resting on the East Coast of Devon is the charming town of Budleigh Salterton, which is perched on the mouth of the clear waters of The River Otter. Forming an area of reed bed and grazing marsh, this River is of great importance for migratory birds and a fantastic spot for birdwatching. There is a two-mile stretch of a pebbled-beach, with a beach hut on the promenade for sun-seekers. The town offers an excellent high street for retail therapy as well as many eateries.

Devon, with its quiet country lanes, patchwork of lush green fields and sleepy villages is not to be missed. Stately home lovers will be spoiled and why not finish with a scrumptious Devonshire cream tea?
