The Retreat is a charming ground-floor semi-detached stone cottage, resting on the North Farm Cottages site in Embleton, Northumberland. Hosting two bedrooms, including a king-size and a twin, along with a shower room, this property can sleep up to four guests. There is a kitchen, a dining room, and a sitting room. Note: The swimming pool is available for all guests staying in our 13 cottages and 4 apartments. Guests must go to the pool entrance area to sign up for the swimming slots they would like to use, using their property name. Each stay is allocated a number of slots, 7 night stay - 5 slots, 5 night stay - 3 slots,3 night stay - 2 slots. The same time slot is not available to each property each day. To the outside there is a garden with lawn and furniture and off-road parking for two cars. The Retreat provides a charming base for a coastal break to Northumberland.

Embleton is a delightful village settled in the county of Northumberland, resting on the fringes of the Northumberland Coast Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty near to the coast. Home to Embleton Bay, with a long stretch of golden sands, with Dunstanburgh Castle providing a dramatic backdrop in the distance. Along with a collection of shops, there are some lovely, welcoming pubs, many pet-friendly for some local ales and drinks and excellent food.

Northumberland is a heady combination of fishing villages, market towns, sandy beaches, magnificent castles and historic Hadrian’s Wall, tied together by beautiful countryside and abundant wildlife.
