Sleeping six guests, the three-bedroom hideaway nestles in a country estate that guests and their canine companions are welcome to explore. Venture 2 miles into bustling Hawick to meander through independent shops and dine out in a choice of eateries. Visit the famous Borders Textile Towerhouse, 2.5 miles away, where you can learn about the area’s knitwear and tweed industries. Also make time to tour the Borders Distillery, the same distance away, to find out how Scottish whisky is made and sample a wee dram. Take any pets in your party to Wilton Lodge Park, 3 miles away, to enjoy riverside walks. Head out to the magnificent Ale Water Valley, 9.5 miles from the lodge, to follow more scenic footpaths, go horse riding or indulge in a little golf or fishing. Make your way into this dog-friendly, detached lodge to find yourselves in a bright and airy open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner, with views out across your undulating surroundings. Pull back the glass doors on warm days so everyone can wander seamlessly out into the fresh Scottish air. Settle on the comfortable, grey seating to take in the glorious outlook, find your favourite show on the Smart TV or watch a DVD. There is a collection here to choose from. Otherwise, simply relax, chat and listen to music through the Bluetooth speaker. The kitchen area has also been completed to ensure you have everything you need. Rustle up tasty meals here to enjoy inside or out. As night falls on each day of your stay in Scotland, amble through to one of your three bedrooms. These include two enticing doubles, one of which has an en-suite shower room. There is also a twin bedroom. The family bathroom has a bath and a shower for you to choose between. Carry your book and a cup of fresh coffee out onto the balcony on sunny days. Fire up the hot tub and enjoy the bubbles as you admire the scenery.
