The cottage sleeps four guests and makes the perfect base for couples and small families looking to explore all that Cumbria has to offer. You’ll be less than 1 mile from the shores of Derwentwater and day trips from the cottage include Aira Force Waterfall (13 miles) and Lake Windermere (17 miles). The holiday home is decorated in a contemporary style, with a neutral colour scheme and a charming collection of homely accessories. Leave muddy boots and coats in the porch, before heading through to the bright and airy kitchen/diner. Here, you’ll find everything needed to rustle up a delicious feast using local ingredients, which you can share around the pretty dining table as you plan your next adventure. From here, move through to the cosy lounge, where an array of welcoming seating is set around a roaring open fire. Stretch out on the sofa with your holiday read, or gather for a movie night in front of the Smart TV. Two tastefully decorated bedrooms are upstairs, along with the family bathroom. Outside, enjoy a spot of al fresco dining in the enclosed courtyard garden. Private parking is available for one small car, with further on-street parking subject to availability. You’ll be perfectly placed to explore the beautiful northern lakes, such as Bassenthwaite (4 miles) and Ullswater (14 miles), and keen walkers can take on the mighty peaks of Skiddaw (5.5 miles) or Blencathra (6.5 miles).
