A stunning barn conversion on a non-working farm surrounded by attractive wooded countryside. The dog-friendly property features an open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner, an enclosed garden and access to a large playfield. With the Peak District National Park just over 10 miles away, along with easy access to local golf clubs, historical sites and market towns, it is a convenient base for a large, multi-generational group with a wide range of interests. Accessed by a small ramp, the two-storey stone barn enjoys a secluded rural location on a site that has been in the owner's family for over 100 years. It features beautiful open spaces both inside and out, with plenty of room for guests on two and four paws to relax and unwind in comfort. The open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner is fresh and bright, with stylish soft furnishings spread evenly between exposed roof beams and hard flooring. Comfortable sofas arranged around the wood burner at one end are only a short shuffle from the dining area, with the contemporary kitchen at the other end enjoying lovely garden views. Two beautifully presented double bedrooms with plenty of storage space lie just off the ground floor hallway, as does a large family bathroom. The en-suite twin bedroom upstairs is a quiet space blessed with soothing colours. The enclosed garden outside offers a dining area with a BBQ that feeds into a large playfield. The Peak District National Park is just over 10 miles from the barn and is blessed with natural wonders including the Dovedale stepping stones, the River Manifold and villages including IIam. Golf courses at Ashbourne and Uttoxeter are within 9 miles, while historical gems such as Sudbury Hall and Tutbury Castle are within 10 miles. Elsewhere, Blithfield Reservoir (11 miles) is popular with walkers and anglers.
