Pet friendly, it's in the countryside between York and Thirsk, with walks from the doorstep and Easingwold just 4.5 miles away. One of a small collection of holiday homes in a lovely Vale of York village, this terraced retreat combines period charm with contemporary comfort. A spacious hallway welcomes you in; beyond, the living space has exposed beams and high ceilings, while floor-to-ceiling windows allow in plenty of natural light. Further afield, York (11 miles) is famous for its magnificent Minster and cobbled lanes, while 14 miles in the opposite direction, Thirsk has a quaint marketplace, splendid Georgian buildings, a cinema and a leisure centre. Drive 16 miles into the Howardian Hills and Castle Howard - one of the area's most stunning stately homes - has acres of grounds to explore plus a high-energy adventure playground.
