Gather friends and family in this characterful, mid-terrace property for six guests near Loweswater. The rural retreat sits on the north-western edge of the Lake District National Park, and is a great base for exploring Lakeland highlights such as Keswick and Bassenthwaite (both within 20 miles). You’ll also be just 10 miles from the spectacular Cumbrian coast. In the evenings, share family BBQs in the garden, or gather in the stylish kitchen/diner for a dinner party. The spacious holiday home has been beautifully decorated and furnished, with a calm, neutral colour palette and a collection of sleek furniture and accessories. A sociable, open-plan kitchen/diner occupies the ground floor and is the perfect place for hosting memorable mealtimes and celebrating special occasions. After dinner, retire to the comfortable seating area overlooking the garden or head into the formal lounge for a movie night in front of the Smart TV. A handy utility room completes the ground floor. The three gorgeous bedrooms, all with their own colour scheme, are upstairs. One of the bedrooms has an en-suite shower room and there’s also a large family bathroom. Outside, an attractive, enclosed garden awaits, with a small lawn and a patio for al fresco dining. To the front of the property is a shared lawn area with trees. Loweswater (6 miles) is one of the quieter lakes in the region, offering peaceful walking trails and secluded picnic spots. It’s also a beautiful place for wild swimming. The lake is just 1 mile in length and you can enjoy a delightful circular walk around its shores, admiring the pretty reflections. Alternatively, head deep into the surrounding woodlands to find the magnificent Holme Force Waterfall. For a bite to eat and a spot of retail therapy, journey into the market town of Cockermouth, 8 miles away.
