Lakeland stone terrace is set in a quiet street just 500 metres from the centre of Keswick. With much to do on your doorstep, it is very easy to leave the car and head out on foot, enjoy dining out, wander down to the shore and hire boats or jump aboard a cruise. Hop on and off to explore the sights which surround Derwentwater such as Lodore Falls (3.5 miles by road), Catbells (4.5 miles) and Surprise View (3.5 miles). Walk to Castlerigg Stone Circle (2 miles) for panoramic views. Enjoy a show at Theatre by the Lake (less than a mile). Many local fells are accessible, conquer the stunning Catbells, popular with walkers of all ages and abilities. For something more challenging, Skiddaw is a slightly longer, higher walk and, at over 3000 feet, on a clear day, you can see far and wide. As you enter the property you will find yourself in the hallway with original floor tiles, cornice and features, you will feel at home with a warm welcome. The lounge is to your left as you walk in, the pretty bay window floods light into the room and the cosy log burner is perfect on a chilly night to relax and unwind! Next door you will find the dining room with French doors out onto the enclosed garden, this room offers a great place to enjoy breakfast or a morning coffee and make plans for the day ahead. Step down from the dining room into the kitchen, it is well equipped and leads through to a handy utility area and WC. Head back through to the hallway and up to the first floor. The mid landing you will find the family bathroom boasting a roll top bath with shower attachment, and there is also a shower room with roomy shower cubicle and WC both fully refurbished in 2024. Continue up to the main landing and you will find three pretty bedrooms, a double overlooking the garden, a twin and a second double to the front of the house. The enclosed garden is a real suntrap and is accessed from the dining room or kitchen, you will find a patio with seating, lockable storage for bikes and an outside hose. It offers a great place to read a good book or enjoy a morning coffee.
