Nestled in the village of Pen-y-Cae within the Brecon Beacons National Park, this stone-built family cottage offers rustic charm by the bucket load on the banks of the River Tawe, and comes complete with a crackling wood burner and a pretty garden for al fresco dining. Situated on a peaceful country lane, the cottage is accessed via an entrance hall, where you’ll find space for coats and boots. The hall also provides access to a stylish bathroom and a separate cloakroom. Discover the well-equipped traditional kitchen with a contemporary twist, where a spacious table and chairs set the scene for dining backed by views across the gardens. Continuing into the cosy lounge with its low-beamed ceiling and wood burner, you can unwind here and enjoy entertainment on the Smart TV. Upstairs, two inviting bedrooms await—a double room and a twin room, both with garden views. The spacious landing provides a comfortable spot for relaxing with a good book. Outside, the enclosed garden is laid to lawn with a patio area perfect for summer dining using the charcoal BBQ provided. Ideal for walkers, the cottage provides access to the Brecon Beacons Way, allowing exploration of the surrounding hills and countryside. Nearby attractions for outdoor enthusiasts include the Crai and Usk reservoirs, the ascent of Fan Fawr with stunning Beacons views, and the descent to Llyn y Fan Fawr. In addition, the famed Four Water Falls Ystradellte walk, and Forest Fawr Geo Park are both 12 miles from home. For fun-filled family days out, don’t miss The National Showcaves Centre for Wales (1.5 miles) or the Wales Ape & Monkey Sanctuary (2.5 miles).
