Nestled in a deep valley, this lovingly converted barn is perfect for large groups looking to enjoy scenic walks and the tranquil surroundings of the Brecon Beacons National Park. With many original features, a sociable living space warmed by a roaring wood burner and a wrap-around private garden, enjoy a memorable escape with friends or family at any time of the year. Behind the stone exterior lies a spacious retreat with oak beams, vaulted ceilings, and terracotta flooring. The open-plan living area includes a lounge, dining table, and kitchen equipped with everything you need to prepare shared feasts, while the wood burner in the lounge is perfect for cosy evenings in front of the TV. A second snug offers a TV/DVD player and a selection of toys and books for younger guests. There is also a handy utility/drying room for storing muddy coats and boots. You'll find a cloakroom, a walk-in wet room and two bedrooms on the ground floor – a twin with single beds, and the master bedroom with an en-suite bathroom. Upstairs, a reading nook on the landing leads to the remaining bedrooms and a separate WC. The first bedroom is arranged in a fun-filled dormitory style with four single beds, two of which can be converted into a double. The fourth bedroom features a comfortable king-size bed that can be converted into two single beds. Two extra fold-up beds are available on request. Outside, discover two pretty terraces with garden furniture and a BBQ for lazy summer evenings. Children can play on the lawn, and dogs can be exercised in the surrounding fields. Located 5 miles from the charming market town of Brecon, explore the local area on foot, by bike, or on horseback, and keep an eye out for resident red kites. The waterfalls at Nant Sere (3 miles) are perfect for a refreshing wild swim, or you can stay dry and enjoy a family day out at Cantref Adventure Farm, just a 1-mile drive away. Alternatively, strike out to tackle Pen-y-Fan (5.5 miles), the highest peak in South Wales and be rewarded by spectacular panoramic views from its summit.
