The beach with its golden sands is only fifteen minutes away by foot and if you prefer a bit more activity, there is a bike rental shop at the train station. From its elevated position, the cottage has spectacular views over Alnmouth estuary and the bay beyond, encouraging you to explore this beautiful part of the country. The new Greenrig halt of the Aln Valley Railway is just a mile from the cottage and can be accessed by a short walk/ cycle ride along a scenic country lane, which also continues into Alnwick The entrance to the house is accessed via two steps, arriving at a cloakroom with basin and WC. A spacious and fully-equipped kitchen has an electric hob and oven, microwave/oven, dishwasher, fridge, freezer and washing machine and tumble dryer. A central island with breakfast stools is the perfect place to grab a snack, although for something more formal, there is a dining area with large table and seating for up to 8 guests. A lounge area with two large comfortable sofas are the perfect place to snuggle up to the wood burning stove while watching the large Smart TV.
