Set right by the sea in the bustling harbour town of Ilfracombe, this lovely three-storey property is ideal for intrepid families keen to discover the treasures of North Devon, Exmoor National Park and the exquisite South West Coast Path. Stroll down to the promenade and peruse the shops, pubs and eateries, Ilfracombe Museum, The Gallery and the iconic Landmark Theatre. Bask in the calm tidal bathing pools at Tunnels Beach, a sandy cove made accessible by Welsh miners who hand-carved four tunnels through the cliffs in the 1820's. Wildersmouth beach and Watermouth Bay (3.5 miles) offer excellent days out for those who love to stay by the coast. Inside the property you'll find sweet mid-century styling and a light and breezy ambience. From the ground-floor snug and utility room, ascend to the open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner and sea view balcony. There's a welcoming retro feel here that's both comforting and contemporary, with sandy shades, subtle lighting and a superb family-size corner sofa. Find gorgeous beaches at Combe Martin (5 miles), Rockham Bay near charming Mortehoe (6.5 miles), Woolacombe (7 miles), Putsborough (9.5 miles), Croyde (10 miles), Saunton Sands (11 miles) and Westward Ho! (24 miles). Hugging the sea cliffs and linked by a funicular railway, Lynton and Lynmouth (20 miles) are known as Little Switzerland for being both scenic and spectacular. If you want to spend a day further afield, explore Exeter, Newquay, St Ives and Penzance from Barnstaple train station (12 miles).
