The South Downs is a walker’s wonderland, with 2,050 miles of footpaths, bridleways and byways to explore, plus 1,000 nature reserves and sites for wildlife-watching. For coastal day trips, Climping is only 4 miles away, which is a popular destination for windsurfing, walking, exploring and metal detecting. Nearby, Littlehampton has two beautiful beaches plus a bustling harbour and marina. No visit to West Sussex would be complete without a trip to Goodwood (8 miles) – famous for its Festival of Speed, the estate hosts a full calendar of events.
