This lovely lodge makes a fabulous base for families and friends, pairing the appeal of entertainment and activities for all ages – book the flow rider for family fun, with the flexibility of a self-catering stay. Located within the renowned Retallack Resort, it’s a 7-mile drive from North Cornwall foodie-favourite Padstow, 9.5 miles from the bustling seaside town of Newquay and 12.5 miles from the surfing paradise of Fistral Beach. Head to the county’s southern coastline instead, where Fowey’s cobbled streets and harbour are 20.5 miles away; at 15 miles from your doorstep, the famous Eden Project is en route. For family-themed days out, Lappa Valley (10 miles) is a 35-acre hidden gem of play and trains, while Springfield Fun Park has animals, rides and a play barn full of rainy-day fun. Camel Creek Family Adventure Park has more than 40 attractions – the latter two are 4 miles from your holiday home. Great for a multi-generational getaway, the accommodation here is generously proportioned. Step through the front door and off the entrance hall, there’s a twin bedroom, a double bedroom and a family bathroom, plus an open-plan social space that’s sure to be a hive of holiday activity.
