As the place where Cumbria, Lancashire and Yorkshire meet, the historic market town of Kirkby Lonsdale (4 miles) offers a maze of cobbled streets lined with delis, boutiques and cafes to explore. The gateway to the Lake District, the vibrant market town of Kendal can be reached within 15.5 miles. Those who love life on the water can enjoy a peaceful cruise along the tranquil waters of Lake Windermere aboard a traditional steamer from Bowness-on-Windermere (25 miles).
