Sheringham itself is a classic British seaside town, with colourful beach huts and a laid-back atmosphere that’s perfect year-round. From the nearby train station (350 metres), hop aboard a nostalgic steam train to Holt (5.5 miles), a picturesque Georgian town filled with galleries, cafés and a 100-acre country park. Cley next the Sea (7.5 miles) is ideal for history lovers with its 18th-century windmill. Wildlife enthusiasts can explore Pensthorpe Nature Reserve (19 miles), and the vast sands and historic harbour of Wells-next-the-Sea (17 miles) are a must for a day out by the water.
