Bring together family and friends in this stunning period property in the village of Cleeve. The spacious, three-storey holiday home sleeps eight guests across four stunning bedrooms and has a choice of stylish spaces for entertaining and enjoying quality time together. You’ll be just 11 miles from the vibrant city of Bristol and the cottage is also conveniently located for Bristol Airport (4.5 miles). The village itself is full of charm, with cute shops and cosy pubs, and is a great starting point for walks through the Somerset countryside. Further afield, you can also follow the tracks and trails through the Mendip Hills National Landscape (10 miles). Nearby family attractions include Noah’s Ark Zoo Farm (7 miles) and Cheddar Gorge (11 miles), with its dramatic clifftop paths and underground caves. For a day at the beach, journey to Burnham-on-Sea (18 miles) or Weston-super-Mare (9.5 miles). The 16th-century stone farmhouse seamlessly blends the property’s fascinating original features with stylish furniture and luxurious touches. The neutral colour palette creates a calm ambience and beautifully compliments the natural tones and textures of the building. Enter the property into the hallway, where you’ll find space to store outdoor gear, along with a handy work area with a desk, should you need it. Just off the hallway is the main lounge, featuring exposed beams and a cosy wood burner set in an original stone fireplace. This is the perfect spot to unwind after a day of adventure, reading your book or watching a movie on the Smart TV. From the lounge, a step up leads to the gorgeous sunroom overlooking the garden. Gather here at the rustic dining table for family breakfasts before heading out for the day. For dinner parties and family celebrations, come together in the main dining room with its characterful exposed stonework, second wood burner, and banquet-style table to seat everyone. A step from the dining room takes you to the farmhouse kitchen which is equipped with everything needed to cater for a large group. Rounding off the ground floor is a utility room and a snug with a second Smart TV and a sofa bed that accommodates an extra two guests if required. A bespoke, wooden staircase leads to the first floor and the four inviting bedrooms. The first is a master king-size bedroom with sumptuous linens and ample storage for all your holiday attire. A staircase from this bedroom leads to a cosy room with a child’s sofa bed and a compact en-suite wet room. From the first-floor landing, you’ll also find a second king-size bedroom with an en-suite shower room. Completing this level is a stunning family bathroom with a roll-top bath. The remaining bedrooms – a king-size and an adjoining twin – are set in the eaves on the second floor. Please note, these rooms have sloping ceilings and low beams, and you may experience restricted head height in some areas. Outside, the enclosed garden has a sunny patio area with outdoor furniture and a BBQ for al fresco dining. From here, a few steps lead to an artificial lawn – the ideal place for children to play. The cottage has private parking for six cars.
