This idyllic haven for two is nestled among the enchanting Scottish Highlands, with a wide range of walking and cycling paths for you to embark upon nearby. Climb up to Fyrish Monument (11 miles) where you will be rewarded by breathtaking panoramic views over the Cromarty Firth. You can pick up amenities and find several cosy and welcoming eateries 3.5 miles away in the attractive town of Alness. Find sandy shores at Shandwick Beach (13 miles) and Dornoch (20 miles). If you fancy a taste of Scottish whisky, there are two historic distilleries nearby, Glenmorangie (13 miles) or Balblair (15 miles). This is a perfect spot for a stay on your NC500 trip, or a simple laid-back location for a quiet and romantic weekend away.
