Stroll 1 mile to the sandy stretches of Amble Links Beach to paddle in the sea, splash in rockpools or take to the waves with your surfboard. Warkworth, a 1.5-mile walk alongside the River Coquet, is also a charming place to visit. Explore the ruined medieval castle here and while away an afternoon or two on the magnificent sandy beach. Spend a day in Alnwick, 9.5 miles away, with its shops, eateries and castle. The Alnwick Garden, with its spectacular fountains, is a beautiful place to wander. Enter the building at the ground-floor level, then take the lift or climb the stairs to your stylish holiday home.
