A little further up the coast, Seahouses (6.5 miles) invites you to the harbour, where daily sea safaris set out to the Farne Islands, offering the chance to spot puffins, seals and other rare seabirds. Also nearby, Embleton (5.5 miles) and Embleton Bay (6.5 miles) promise spectacular seaside scenery, with the majestic silhouette of Dunstanburgh Castle (7.5 miles) as a backdrop.
