The vibrant market town of Totnes (5 miles) offers independent shops, cosy cafés, galleries, and riverside strolls. Head 7 miles south to Dartmouth for its scenic harbour, boutique shopping, waterside dining, and historic castle—or take a tranquil river cruise. For beach lovers, Blackpool Sands (6.5 miles) offers turquoise waters, water sports and a beachfront café. Nearby Gara Bridge (6 miles) provides peaceful river walks and ideal picnic spots. For dining, The Maltsters Arms in Tuckenhay is just 1.8 miles away, easily reached via scenic countryside paths. This idyllic escape blends rural charm with access to Devon’s coast, rivers, and moorland. Wander through the lawned garden and up to the raised deck, perfect for outdoor dining, stargazing, and watching the sun set over the hills and moors. Step inside to find a cleverly designed king-size bed tucked into a cosy alcove, complete with hot water bottles for snug nights under the stars. The compact kitchen is well-equipped with a combi oven and hob ideal for rustling up simple meals. A fold-out dining table provides a spot for indoor meals when the weather doesn’t play along. Curl up in the cushioned corner nook by the wood burner and unwind with a good book. At the far end of the hut, you’ll discover a surprisingly spacious shower room with everything you need to refresh and relax. Outside there are lounge chairs for lazy afternoons, a hammock for dreamy naps and a barbeque / fire pit for cooking, stargazing and cosy evenings. The raised deck has a bistro set for al fresco dining with stunning views. Private parking for two cars.
