A fantastic house for larger families and groups of friends seeking a spacious hideaway with sweeping rural views, this elegantly restored fifteenth century farmhouse occupies a tranquil spot perfect for exploring Suffolk’s magnificent countryside and idyllic coast. For a day at the seaside, head to one of the lovely beaches nearby at Southwold, Walberswick, Dunwich, and Aldeburgh. Situated just half a mile from the picturesque village of Bramfield, known for its unique detached Norman round church tower, thatched church and award-winning pub. Slightly further north, the historic market towns of Halesworth (4 miles) and Southwold (10 miles) offer a great choice of pubs, shops, cafes and restaurants alongside a golf course and arts centre. The area has a wealth of historic landmarks and popular attractions to visit such as Framlingham Castle, RSPB Minsmere, Snape Maltings, the Norfolk and Suffolk Aviation Museum, Sutton Hoo and Camel Park Oasis, all within 15 miles. Entering this fabulous property, the spacious entrance hall leads through to a bright and relaxing sitting room full of character, with ample seating and an open fire, providing an ideal space for curling up with a good book. On the other side of the hall, there’s the cheerful second sitting room, with a Smart TV and a wood burner. The beamed and airy open-plan kitchen/diner offers plenty of equipment and a dining area with its oak table extending to accommodate up to 21 people. The ground floor also has a utility room and a spacious bathroom with bath and shower. On the first floor, you will find another bathroom, plus a separate WC and five individually styled bedrooms with fantastic views. The welcoming first bedroom features a wonderful queen-size sleigh bed alongside an en-suite shower room and a lovely balcony. The second bedroom has a sumptuous queen-size four-poster bed, and there’s also a pretty twin room, a gorgeous double room with a sleigh bed, and a charming triple room with three Swedish-style daybeds. The final twin bedroom is on the second floor: a snug attic room with timber beams and a low vaulted ceiling. The kitchen opens out onto a delightful south-facing stone terrace with charming views over the extensive garden and towards the fenced duck pond and apple orchard. At the front of the farmhouse, the beautiful west-facing garden has a magnificent beech tree providing a tranquil spot to sit under and watch the sunset. The garden stretches out over an acre and a half and features a light-filled games room – an imaginatively converted stable where you can play pool, table tennis or table football. Parking is available for up to six cars on the driveway.
