This three-bedroom home sets you up for a scenic Scottish break with friends or family. It’s in a rural spot in just 7 miles from the postcard-perfect village of Portpatrick and 6.5 miles from the bustling town of Stranraer, where you’ll find shops, essentials and some fantastic restaurant options, too. This a brilliant spot for families – with beautiful beaches nearby where kids can let off steam – or for couples and friends looking to kick back in the hot tub or unwind by the crackling wood burner. The house is right next to Galdenoch Castle, a striking Scheduled Monument, and surrounded by rolling hills and scenic walking trails – the Loch Ryan Coastal Path (7 miles) is a great option. There’s even room for your four-legged friend to join in the fun. Step through the door and into a warm, welcoming space with lovely touches throughout. The ground floor features an open-plan kitchen/diner with wooden work tops, a six-person dining table for meals and a handy desk if work calls. This sits opposite a modern shower room with a WC. When it’s time to relax into the evening, head to the beautiful lounge with a wood burner, and unwind on the sofa space while the fire crackles away. One of the bedrooms is downstairs – a king-size with an en-suite with a shower over bath. Upstairs, you’ll find a second king-size room and a charming bunk room that’s perfect for youngsters. The main entrance or patio doors from the bedroom lead out to a garden complete with your own private hot tub and outdoor seating. Take in the wonderful views of the countryside.
