Set just off the A1, it’s ideally positioned for day trips to some of the region’s most-loved destinations. Spend the day exploring the Holy Island of Lindisfarne – a unique tidal island rich in history, with sweeping beaches, ancient priory ruins and inviting spots for coffee or lunch. Nearby Goswick Beach stretches wide with golden sand, ideal for long walks, beach games or paddling. Berwick-upon-Tweed offers riverside strolls, independent shops and the impressive Elizabethan town walls, while Bamburgh promises dramatic sea views, an iconic castle and a vast beach. For wildlife lovers, boat trips from Seahouses head out to the Farne Islands to spot puffins, seals and sometimes dolphins. Inside, the cottage has an easygoing charm.
