Buxton is known for its invigorating thermal spas and elegant Georgian and Victorian architecture, with a choice of great pubs and restaurants nearby. The town is also home to the stunning Buxton Opera House, with the spellbinding Poole’s Cavern just a mile away, on the outskirts of the magnificent Buxton Country Park, where you will also find the distinctive Solomon’s Temple (2.5 miles). Buxton is perfect for discovering the Peak District, with Chatsworth House, Blue John Cavern, Haddon Hall, Lud’s Church, Magpie Mine and the picturesque town of Bakewell all within 16 miles.
