The town also hosts a variety of festivals throughout the year, including food and beer festivals, flag celebrations, and the renowned Dickensian Festival. Just over 8 miles away, Newby Bridge marks the starting point of Lake Windermere and offers Windermere Lake Cruises. Visitors can also enjoy a nostalgic steam train journey from Newby Bridge to Haverthwaite, located just 6 miles from the property.
