Light, bright and spacious, this holiday home offers a refreshing base from which to explore the beauty of the Suffolk coast and countryside, ideal for couples. Just 6 miles away is the mediaeval village of Lavenham where quaint tearooms, fine restaurants and the Harry Potter filming location of Godric’s Hollow can be found to fill a leisurely day of exploring. As you step inside, the open-plan living area welcomes you with a sofa and armchair to sink into to watch a film. The kitchen has a country style with pastel cabinets and wooden countertops, matching the dining table. Finishing off the floor is the all-white bathroom where you can relax with a soak in the tub, or refresh after a long day of exploring with the overhead shower. Up on the first floor you’ll find two tasteful bedrooms, a minimalist king-size with a window set into an alcove and a cosy single room which is perfect for children, as well as an additional WC. The enclosed garden offers complete privacy, with a table, chairs and parasol to ensure you can make the most of sunny weather be it dining al fresco or sitting and reading a book in the sunshine. Half a mile away, Sudbury Water Meadows is a wonderful place to walk with riverside trails, wildflowers lining the pathways and a variety of animals to spot along the circular route. Head to National Trust Melford Hall to visit the historic Tudor house with its moat, deer park and well-maintained gardens which are a pleasure to walk through at all times of the year. Further afield, visit the Suffolk Coast and Heaths AONB (20 miles) for a change of scenery and marvel at the rugged coastline. From here you’ll have easy access to Dedham Vale AONB (18 miles) and Dovercourt Beach (30 miles).
