The South West Coast Path runs past the door and the Tarka Trail, a traffic free path that runs through the village, so perfect for walks or bicycle rides in the sunshine to admire the sea views. Across the estuary, you’ll find the picturesque fishing village of Appledore, famous for its galleries, eateries and ice cream, a short ferry ride across the river. If you are looking for an activity day on the beach then one of North Devons most iconic beaches, Westward Ho!, is a 5-mile drive away, or head to award winning Woolacombe or Saunton Sands for surfing, paddle boarding and beautiful walks in the dunes. For a day out that the kids will love, head 14 miles to The Milky Way Adventure Park, famous for its indoor soft play area and rollercoaster, or The Big Sheep for family fun.
