The house has bags of character despite a modern renovation and is peppered with artfully exposed stone walls. The farmhouse-style kitchen has a family-size fridge/freezer so you can happily stock up once and concentrate on really relaxing. Round everyone up for laid-back brunches at the chunky pine dining table while you hatch plans for the days ahead, and if the weather’s fine, open up the double doors and let the sea breeze drift in. The separate living room is a great hub for the group to gather at the end of an active day, with a cosy wood burner and TV when you’re all too relaxed to chat. French doors from the living room lead out to a sun-drenched decked area that runs the length of the house. Sit on the benches and enjoy distant sea views across the shared dog exercising paddock or walk down to the other end for a soak in the secluded hot tub. A BBQ is on hand when no-one wants to tear themselves away from the summer sun.
