This small, white washed traditional stone cottage is a welcoming seaside getaway for a couple looking to spend some holiday time close to the beaches in beautiful Northumberland. Located in the centre of the much loved village of Seahouses, Little Flores Cottage is only a short walk from the harbour front, the beaches, all the shops, restaurants, take-aways, bars, coffee houses and much more. Seahouses is the central hub for taking a boat trip to see the birds and wildlife on The Farne Islands and you can walk along the lovely, coastal path to Bamburgh beach to visit the imposing Castle, spend time in the attractive village and visit the Grace Darling Museum while you are there. With WiFi and a cosy open fire, this cottage offers very comfortable holiday accommodation for two in a central, coastal location. Please note, that for a larger group, this cottage can be booked alongside its sister cottage next door, Flores Cottage with 2 bedrooms. Parking: You cannot park outside at this cottage however, you can unload and load there and there is a permit provided for parking one car in Seahouses main car park round the corner from the cottage. Please note that this parking permit can also be used in any of the paid Northumberland County car parks - providing a great saving! Please note: Some free short stay car parks require a parking disc. The permit will be left for you in the cottage. There is no outside space with this cottage and no views however, as we have mentioned, you are in a good, central location with easy access to the harbour, beach and all the village amenities; shops, restaurants pubs and takeaways. This cottage welcomes up to 2 medium/large or 3 small well-behaved dogs.

The Summerhouse is a beautiful and unique coastal cottage for two with stunning views over the River Aln Valley and Boulmer Bay. This open plan, single storey, studio style cottage is furnished with a seaside, nautical theme and is full of character. The cottage offers private parking, Wi-Fi, a smart TV, a multi fuel stove and a delightful, enclosed patio garden, ideal for a family dog. The cottage is located within walking distance of the village and beach and the mainline station is only 700 meters from the cottage, making it ideal if you don’t want to bring your car and are able arrive by train instead. You can even rent a bicycle from the station! The famous market town of Alnwick with its iconic Castle (Hogwarts and Downton Abbey fame) celebrated Castle Gardens and Heritage Railway tourist attraction is a short 3 mile journey and can be reached by car or bus (hourly buses) or on foot, along the rail and river path with some lovely views on the way. Alnmouth seaside village offers something for everyone; there are some excellent pubs (the majority are dog friendly) in the village, as well as a good range of shops, cafes and restaurants within an easy walk or cycle from the cottage. The NCR 1 - (National Cycle Route 1) runs through the area and the other popular seaside villages of Bamburgh, Seahouses, Beadnell, Newton-by-the-sea, Craster and Howick with its lovely gardens (highly rated by the BBC’s Gardeners Question Time!) are all nearby. A little further afield, (35 miles) you can reach the border town of Berwick upon Tweed or visit Newcastle upon Tyne by train from Alnmouth station. The new Greenrig halt of the Aln Valley Railway is just a mile from the cottage and can be accessed by a short walk/ cycle ride along a scenic country lane, which also continues into Alnwick This cottage accepts one well behaved dog.
