If you do decide to head out for the day then you also have plenty of places within easy reach including the beautiful medieval market town of Saffron Walden just 13 miles away, or the market town of Clare only 9 miles away with a host of independent shops, antique shops and a further choice of culinary delights. 20 miles away is the widely recognised birthplace of thoroughbred horse racing, Newmarket. After parking at the back of the property, enter through the rear lobby, the perfect place to kick off those walking boots and hang up your coats. Keep an eye out for wildlife which can been seen on a regular basis including barn owls, roe deer, hares, wagtails, red kites and buzzards. You can help yourself to seasonal fruit and vegetables grown in the kitchen garden and a short walk from the cottage is the shack located within the vineyard which provides additional outside space for dining and drinks with countryside views.
