Set in a residential street, this astonishing townhouse has been finished to an incredible standard. The design-led interiors are blessed with soothing tones, hardwood flooring and period features, along with an eclectic mix of traditional and contemporary soft furnishings. The plump sofas in the lounge are arranged around the gorgeous wood burner, while the bright kitchen/diner features banquette seating and an imposing central island. A Scandi-style cinema room stands off the kitchen, complete with a family sofa and a deep window seat with garden views. A handy shower room completes the ground floor. Two en-suite bedrooms – a king-size and a twin – are found across the first-floor landing. Both feature wood-panelled walls, a host of astonishing soft furnishings and little details that catch the eye. The south-facing rear garden is a delight. There is seating on the decked area, while a path leads to a Swedish outdoor sauna and additional bath house with a Japanese-style Ofuro hot tub. The nearby patio has a dining area. Helmsley (800 metres) is popular with visitors and locals throughout the year and is known for the charming shops, cafes and pubs found off its market square. The dog-friendly grounds of Helmsley Castle offer a dose of history, while the attractive gardens and parklands of Duncombe Park Estate (1 mile) are perfect for long nature walks. The stunning ruins of Rievaulx Abbey (3 miles) and the grounds of Castle Howard (12 miles) are also well worth the journey.
