Get out and explore the stunning local countryside or head into the Shropshire Hills (5 miles away) where you can pick up Offa’s Dyke Path which roughly traces the English/Welsh border. Head to the medieval town of Ludlow (13 miles) to see the castle ruins, stock up at the market and treat yourselves to the wonderful cafes and restaurants. Spend a day exploring the local historic sites of Berrington Hall (15 miles), Croft Castle (10 miles) and Stokesay Castle (11 miles).

Short breaks are welcome all year round so take advantage of the many events throughout the year and stay here to visit Cheltenham races, theatre or many festivals including literature, jazz, food and Victorian Christmas markets, to name a few. Take afternoon tea in Painswick and visit the Rococo garden 3 miles away. Bristol and historic Bath are only a short drive away.
