About This Property
Haven High West is a 2 bedroom dog friendly property in Pembrokeshire, Wales
In an unequalled position on the lee side of St Ann’s Head, Dale in Pembrokeshire, Haven High West is poised above the sea and enjoys wonderful views up Milford Sound and out towards the open sea. Situated at the end of a quiet track, this semi detached chalet sits about 2 miles from the water sports village of Dale and 8 miles south west of Broad Haven, giving you the sense of being tucked away while still within easy reach of everything you might need.
The large walled garden, with its picnic table and bench, lies directly beside the Pembrokeshire Coast Path and is only a short stroll from the small, sheltered beach at Mill Bay. This stretch of coastline is dotted with secluded coves and hidden inlets, each with its own character. Binoculars are a must here, revealing a constantly shifting picture of seabirds, yachts, fishing boats and the occasional larger ship making its way along the Haven.
Dale itself is a friendly, laid back village with a shop and the much loved pub, The Griffin, known for its seafood and its position right on the waterfront. The area is a hub for sailing, kayaking, paddleboarding and windsurfing, thanks to its calm waters and reliable breezes. For walkers, the coast path offers endless possibilities, from gentle ambles to more dramatic cliff top stretches with sweeping views.
A little further afield, the larger towns of Milford Haven and Haverfordwest are around a 30 minute drive, offering supermarkets, galleries, cafés and all the practicalities. Marloes Sands, St Brides and the wild beauty of the Marloes Peninsula are also within easy reach, as is the embarkation point for boats to Skomer Island, famous for its puffins and rich wildlife.
Haven High West is perfectly placed for those who want peace, sea air and the feeling of being close to nature, while still having the best of Pembrokeshire on the doorstep.
